The most common beetle found on carpets in dwellings around Britain. These beetles are fairly small, measuring only 1.5 to 4 mm. The body is strongly convex, with the colour pattern of yellow, black and whitish dense scales. This insect attacks woollen materials, also infecting grain products, seeds of various sorts and other products of vegetable origin.
