Cat skull and lower jaw

Mammals that eat meat usually have large canine teeth. These are used for stabbing prey. Small incisors at the front of the mouth fit together precisely, enabling the animal to nibble tiny bits of meat from bones (a bit like how people eat sweetcorn). Cats, dogs, bears and weasels have special teeth in the back of their mouth that act like a pair of scissors, slicing meat between them.
